This is a 12 week program that includes materials. Weekly meetings last approximately 1 hour. Each week we cover a different topic. Topics build upon each other. The cost is $300.00 for the 12 weeks.

Hello, I am Dawn Parente, Certified Nutritional Consultant. Ever since I can remember I have been conscious of the food I put into my body. I would question ingredients in processed foods since I was about 14 years old. I guess you could say it came natural to me to choose the “right” foods. I have always considered my self a naturalists and I have always wanted to be fit and healthy. I began exercising to Richard Simmons as a child. I understood then that exercise was a big part in health as well as the food I take in.
While in college I gravitated to the science electives and became fascinated with how the chemistry of the body works and how the foods we take in are handled within us. Yet it was not until the birth of my second daughter who at 9 months developed an allergy to milk protein did I do more research and go back to school to focus on nutrition.
After completing my certification in 2003 I started working with clients through word of mouth. I guided people towards lose weight, to deal with chemotherapy side effects, to lower their cholesterol, and deal with arthritis. Focusing on the “why” to what is happening and work to restore the balance within the body. But, even with all the individuality there was still a common ground, grains, fruits, vegetables, as little processed foods as possible, exercise, and water.
As I became more aware of food and food energy I put my focus into eating for health.
Our body is a beautiful thing that has the capability of healing itself provided we give it what it needs. I began looking at the so called diseases as our body being put at a “dis-ease” ,out of sink if you will. The old adage “you are what you eat” could not be more true! Food is the core of our family and community. Food can and is healing power. The more balanced foods you consume, the more balanced you health will be.
It was not until recently that I discovered the Transitions plan developed by Dr. Shari Lieberman that has helped me grow yet again. This plan was a structured plan embodying all the aspects I would coach people on. The structured materials are a great tool for my clients and me. I began seeking out health practitioners, gyms and spas, any company already into health and wellness to find out if they were interested in this plan. It has allowed me to expand my business and help even more people.
My goal is for people to be healthy, fit and free of “dis-ease”. I absolutely love what I do and I am excited to be a part of your team at The Center!
